Dates and Times

Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14, 2020, from 6-9pm at GTC Studio 1301 (1301 W. Pearl Street)

Callbacks (if needed – by invitation only): Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at 6pm at GTC Studio 1301

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will begin Monday, April 27, 2020. Typically, rehearsals will be Mondays-Thursdays from 7-10pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm. Tech Week rehearsals on June 8-11 will be Monday-Thursday from 6-10pm.  There may be a Q2Q rehearsal on Sunday, June 7.

Performances: The production runs from June 12-July 12, 2020, with shows on Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7:30pm, and Sundays at 2pm. There will be a special matinee on Friday, July 3. There will be no evening performance on Saturday, July 4.


Audition Requirements

The director seeks a diverse cast of performers representing different races and ethnicities.

Auditioners must be at least 16 years old.

  • Bring a headshot and resume.
  • You must note ALL conflicts for rehearsals and performances on the evening of your auditions.
  • Auditions may include prepared readings from the script.
  • Prepare a clearly marked 32 bar cut from a Broadway song in the style of the show. Accompaniment will be provided so please provide the sheet music.

production description

Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality.

Emmett Forrest
A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, loveable, and friendly.

A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself.

A pompous, sleezy and manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly successful, but completely immoral.

A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle’s heart and heads off to Harvard Law.

A smart, savvy, and uptight law student and Warner’s fiancee who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend.

An exercise video mogul who is also a former sorority girl. She is energetic and charismatic, yet currently on trial for murder.

Excellent dance skills required
Pillar/Serena/Kate/Margot – Elle’s entourage who follow her through the story acting as her “Greek Chorus.” Strong singers and dancers with good comic timing and youthful energy!
Kyle B. O’Boyle – physically fit, smooth-talking UPS deliveryman. We soon find out that he is Paulette’s dream guy. Must be comfortable with dogs. Irish dancing skills are a plus!
Enid Hoops – (G3-G5 Soprano Belt) – Enid is a strong, opinionated, feminist law student at Harvard. Great comedic timing!
Dance Corps – Group of men and women to play Delta Nu sisters/Inmates/Harvard students and more! Strong dance skills required.
Ensemble – A group of talented actors/singers who will play most minor and supporting roles in the show including Harvard students, Hair Affair client’s, Elle’s parents, and much more! Strong acting and singing ability required.
