Private Lessons


Granbury Theatre Academy is pleased to offer private lessons in guitar, voice, dance, piano, and acting.

Private lessons are by appointment only. The cost is $20 for a 30-minute lesson or $40 for a 50-minute lesson and can be paid directly to the instructor.

Matt has been teaching private voice lessons since 2012. He studied music theatre at Oklahoma City University, where he was a four-year member of the Chamber Choir, a featured soloist in several operas, and professional performer with Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre. Matt is a professional singer and actor in the DFW area and has performed at many theatres including Casa Mañana, Lyric Stage, and the Granbury Opera House. Matt is overjoyed to currently serve as the Interim Director for the Granbury Theatre Academy.

Aaron is thrilled to be a part of the Granbury Theatre Academy. He has played guitar since he was five years old and cannot wait to help his students get to the next level!

Dance Lessons

Joshua is a teacher with Granbury Theatre Academy.  He also has performed in several Granbury Theatre Company musicals including GUYS AND DOLLS, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, and SOUTH PACIFIC. He also served as assistant choreographer for FOOTLOOSE.

Greg Doss

Voice Lessons/Audition Coaching

Greg Doss is a 35-year veteran teacher in the public school systems of Georgia and Texas.  He has performed as soloist, accompanist, and member in many church and community performance groups as well as in operas and musical – most recently here with Granbury Theatre Company. He recently retired as choir director at Granbury High School and accompanist at First Baptist Church in Cleburne.  Greg is presently the GTC resident music director.

Nate has been teaching voice lessons since 2015. He studied vocal performance at Tarleton State University, where he played Captain Von Trapp in THE SOUND OF MUSIC and Schroeder in YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. He was also a four-year member of the chamber choir and received awards including Outstanding Vocalist and Honors Recital Finalist. He has performed in several shows at the Granbury Opera House with roles including Beast in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and The Governor in THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS. Nate is happy to serve as a voice teacher for GTC.

Voice Lessons/Audition Coaching/ Piano Lessons

Ashley began her music education in 1995, when she started taking piano lessons at the age of eight. She graduated from Granbury High School in 2005 and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in vocal performance from California Baptist University. During her time in California, she sang in churches all over the country. Over the past five years, she has played piano and led worship at StoneWater Church, taught private voice and piano lessons, and recently stepped into a new season as a singer/songwriter. Ashley takes great joy in loving on others through high quality vocal technique training, honest constructive correction, and gentle encouragement. Most of all, she enjoys simply getting to play a small role in others lives as they learn to discover and polish their own musical gifts and talents.

Dance Lessons

Stephanie is a graduate of Texas State University and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance. While in college, she was a member of many touring groups and performed across the United States in beautiful places, including DUMBO Art Festival in New York City. Stephanie is a past recipient of the Best Choreography Award and an Excellence in Performance scholarship from Texas State University. Upon graduating, Stephanie taught ages 4-18 different styles of dance including ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary, and hip hop at GO! Dance Fine Arts Academy for three years. Her favorite style of dance to teach is contemporary/modern. Most recently, she performed at Six Flags Over Texas as a dancer and singer for five seasons in various shows. Stephanie now resides in Granbury and performs with Granbury Theatre Company. She wants to encourage young performers to follow their dreams and remind them they can do anything they set their mind to.
