dates and times
Monday and Tuesday, June 10-11 from 6-9pm at the Granbury Opera House (133 E. Pearl Street, Granbury, Texas 76048 – please enter through the Artists Entrance at the back of the building)
Callbacks (if needed – by invitation only): Saturday, June 15 from 9am-12pm at the Granbury Opera House
Rehearsals: Rehearsals will begin Monday, June 17. Typically, rehearsals will be Mondays-Thursdays from 7-10pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm. Tech Week rehearsals on July 22-25 will be Monday-Thursday from 6-10pm. There may be a Q2Q rehearsal on Sunday, July 21.
Performances: The production runs from July 26-August 25 with shows on Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7:30pm, and Sundays at 2pm.
- Bring a headshot and resume.
- You must note ALL conflicts for rehearsals and performances on the evening of your auditions.
- Auditions will include a cold reading from the script.
- Prepare a clearly marked 32 bar cut from a Broadway song in the style of the show. Accompaniment will be provided so please provide the sheet music. Please select an audition song NOT from the show or movie.

Video Auditions: For those unable to attend the general auditions, please send a video submission to email@example.com by Sunday, June 9 following the same song requirements listed above. Also, please include a headshot, resume, and rehearsal and performance conflicts.
The classic story of Dorothy and Toto as they go to meet the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, encountering along the way the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Cowardly Lion.
Scarecrow / Hunk – Male, Baritone – actor/singer/dancer, charming, thoughtful, honest, clumsy.
Tin Man / Hickory – Male, Baritone – actor/singer who moves well. A kind-hearted romantic.
Cowardly Lion / Zeke – Male, Baritone – actor with excellent comic timing.
Auntie Em – Female, Maternal. Any vocal range. (may be doubled with Glinda)
Uncle Henry – Male, Good hearted, plain-speaking farmer type. Any vocal range.
Glinda – Soprano, Witch of the North, Maternal, a good witch. (may be doubled with Auntie Em)
The Wicked Witch of the West / Almira Gulch – Female, non-singing actor, vengeful, nasty and hungry for power.
Ensemble (Flying Monkeys, Citizens of Oz, Winkies) – All Vocal and Age Ranges
