Rehearsals
- Rehearsals will begin Monday, September 21, 2026
- Typically, rehearsals will be Mondays-Thursdays from 7-10pm and Saturdays from 9am-12pm.
- Tech Week rehearsals on October 19-22, 2026, will be Monday-Thursday and will begin at 6pm.
- There may be a Q2Q rehearsal on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Benefits
- Limited actor stipends are available for specific roles; stipends typically range from $100-$400.
- An allotment of comp tickets is available for family and friends.
- A limited amount of housing is available on weekends during performance run, upon request. Housing is not available during rehearsals.
Auditions
Performers of any ethnicity, race, color, sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, body type and who are differently abled are welcomed and encouraged to audition.

PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION
Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to the stage in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, and in Simon Levy’s adaptation, approved by the Fitzgerald Estate.
THE GREAT GATSBY is presented through special arrangement with Dramatist Play Service Inc.
CHARACTER LISTING
JAY GATSBY – A romantic idealist with a disarming smile. Jay Gatsby mysteriously gained his fortune during the war which he uses to throw lavish parties every night. The epitome of charm but with a deep sadness and longing in his eyes.
DAISY BUCHANAN – a young socialite and mother. Married to Tom but secretly in love with Gatsby. She struggles with the idealized life she wants and the idealized life she has.
NICK CARRAWAY – Cousins to Daisy and Neighbors to Gatsby, Nick acts as the narrator throughout this story. Nick’s observations of the world around him is what colors our show.
TOM BUCHANAN – Tom is an arrogant, hypocritical bully. His social attitudes are laced with racism and sexism, and he never even considers trying to live up to the moral standard he demands from those around him.
JORDAN BAKER – Daisy’s friend, a woman with whom Nick becomes romantically involved during the course of the show. A competitive golfer, Jordan represents one of the “new women” of the 1920s
MYRTLE WILSON – George’s Wife and Tom’s lover, Myrtle herself possesses a fierce vitality and desperately looks for a way to improve her situation.
GEORGE WILSON – Myrtle’s husband, the lifeless, exhausted owner of a run-down auto shop at the edge of the valley of ashes. George loves and idealizes Myrtle, and is devastated by her affair with Tom.
MEYER WOLFSHEIM – Gatsby’s friend, a prominent figure in organized crime.
MR. MCKEE – A friend of Myrtle Wilson’s, who is attempting to make a living as a photographer in Long Island. Although he is a pleasant and unobtrusive man overall
MRS. MCKEE – A loud and unrefined friend of Myrtle Wilson’s, and the wife of Mr. McKee. She attempts to ingratiate herself with Myrtle through obvious flattery and pushes the group to support her husband’s photography business.
MRS. MICHAELIS – a key witness to the events at the end of the show.
DANCER – male, looking for a performer with dance experience.
